Masters in Islamic Commercial Law -EMCL
Master Program in Commercial Law:
36 total credit hours
Passing Grade: 80 (B-) Minimum
EMCL Program requires the student to successfully pass 30 credit hours of course work
The student must take 2 highly intense Comprehensive Exams after successfully completing all 30 hours of course work which will assess his/her knowledge & comprehension of all material in this program.
If the student passes these comprehensive exams then the student can begin working on his/her Thesis which is 6 credit hours.
After the student successfully defends his/her thesis, the student will then be entitled to earn his/her Master’s Degree in Commercial Law.
This Program is designed to fully engage the student into intense
research and deep intellectual & precise application of commercial
law and all its vast entities based on Islamic guidelines.
To be considered for entry into this Program please submit the following:
-Submit a copy of your High School transcript or have your High School send it to us directly (American Open University 4212 King Street Alexandria, VA 22302 ATTN Graduate Dept)
-Submit official Transcript (have your present University directly send AOU your official transcript- see address above)
-Send copies of both your High School diploma AND your most recent Higher education Diploma
-Send copy of photo ID
-Submit 5 recommendation letters (3 Academic, 1 Professional and 1 Community Leader)
-Submit 1-2 page essay on any legal subject and how this has affected your views
-Pay application fee $75.00 (non-refundable)
-Pay admissions fee $208.00 (nonrefundable)
-If transferring credits from another University pay equalization fee $187.00 (nonrefundable)
