Islamic Business Ethics EMCL-740  Credit Hours: 5

 The course will cover:

 

·         Islamic ethics and corporate social responsibility: The positive or negative impact of an individual Muslim’s behavior or action on business partners, counterparts, employees, customers, the environment, etc. when conducting business transactions;

·         Practicing business with the application of Islamic ethical principles to demonstrate the goodness of Islam in shaping good character and honest and exemplary partners;

·         The western concept of “clash of civilizations”, its origin, media disinformation about Islam and Muslims resulting in bias that cause many non-Muslims to fear Muslims and be biased against Muslims;

·         The value of tolerance and inclusiveness of other cultures and viewpoints and do business with them with knowledge, and dignity to be inclusive and welcoming of people from different societies and engage in business transactions with with them and treat them as trading allies.
