The Sciences of the Hadith            PhD-907                 4 Credit Hours

 

This course will help the student to be able to:

1- review and judge the Matn “text” as well as the Sanad (the chain of the narrators) based on the standards of the scholars of Al-Jarh wa At-‘Deel (discrediting or crediting) in the sciences of Hadith.

2- the ability to identify different methods of the scholars of Hadith.

3- how to induct the rules of the ‘Ahadeeth; the criteria for the weak Hadeeth and the fabricated Hadeeth.

4- study selected ‘Ahadeeth  from AlBukhary in terms of the Matn, Sanad rules and their classification in terms of authenticity.
