History of Legislation

Course Outline:
This class will cover different topics related to the history of legislation, the development of fiqh in the time of the Prophet (SAW), the Righteous Khalifs the major Sahaabah, and the Umayyad dynasty. It will also discuss the schools of Islamic legal thought, and the main reasons for conflicting rulings and taqleed.
